just bought a new handphone from the singtel fair at suntec city, a Nokia 6110... it has a GPS function and also includes a singapore map in it so it can detect where you are. As for the other functions i have not use it yet so i dunno about it yet, now still transfeering contact numbers in it if not then u all sms me i won't know who is it except for those very familiar number lor... write more after i've more familiar with it
before that in the afternoon went to university culture centre to watch a musical"Love Above All". its presented by mt carmel BP church and the musical is about god and forgiveness...
yest evening also went to suntec to check out the phone... then at there saw some of my NS friends in the GOH as their resting place is at suntec. the best is when i was going there just i alight the bus i saw the singapore flag flying pass with chinnok helicopter, its the real one for the preview and also hear the national anthem and the 21-gun salute. after that went to marina square to catch the fireworks and took photos of it to send for competition. just send lor by email but i dun think will win cos there're so many ppl taking photos and the chances are really small...

NTU CCC FOC
just came back from the ntu crusade freshmen camp... it was a 3 days 2 nights camp but there's only planned activities for the first 2 days... the last day was just for checking out and admin stuff...
had made quite a number of friends from the camp, all my fellow bro and sis in christ... and was quite close to a few. yup, had there's many games which requires team work and bring us closer to one another... and really thank god for the weather cos for this week it rained quite alot on mon, thurs and fri but i didn't really rain at all on tue and wed where we have the camp and outdoor activites, yeah god is really GOOD!
as for the accom we stayed in hall 4, and after staying there can say that luckily i didnt stay in the hall... cos i prefer to stay alone and with air con which they dun offer to yr 1. and the toilets and bed is worse then my camp one... the mattress is quite hard and the heater for shower is not working properly, and the fan is directly on top of the study table which can make me headache...
for the food wise the food provided in the camp wasnt that great, like same standard as SFI. but the food in canteen 2 & A was great... haha! i think going to frequent these 2 canteens more, and canteen A got mac! haha but cant eat that often also... then on the 2nd night after supper we went to the coffeeshop opp ntu at around blk 908 to eat roti prata till abt 1am then after that talk till abt 4.30am then slp for less then 4 hrs...
then after checking out went clementi to eat botak jones, just got intro to that last fri then eat a 2nd time with anothe grp of ppl just 6 days later, haha! then after that went to play pool but i left at 5pm cos i was very tired... the cos we sent the bags to clementi by car then somehow forgot to take down the file so it was brought to the person house... but thank god managed to get it back today as most of my QT stuff and bible are in it...

6 days to NTU, 13 days to official start of lesson...
the countdown clock says 6 days to NTU... yup, 6 more days to 300707 which i've started counting since 2005 when it was still 730 days away... 300707 is the orientation week then 13 more days to 060807 which is the start of lessons...

Swimming
yesterday went swimming with some of my NS friends... it's also the first time i went swimming since dunno when... yup really long nv go swimming liao...
before swimming we went to clementi for lunch at botak jones... it's on the other side of clementi mrt, not the central side... it's really good, esp the fries... yummy! haha... then while we were eating there's someone got knock down by mrt at clementi station but we didnt see it... by the time we finish eating train service has resume...
so we took bus 185 to jurong east swimming pool... there got some renovation but its mainly the children's section... so we go to the lazy river and the wave pool... but sadly it started to rain only about 1 1/2 hr after we start so have no choice but to come out... it was raining quite heavily and there's lighting and its cold too as our towel is in the locker so we decided not to wait anymore and to get change...so we didnt get the full enjoyment of swimming but manage to have interaction with one another as i dunno if we still got chance like this after we ORD...

Combat shoot & FFI
we just had our combat shoot on mon and tue and sad to say is that none of us got marksman... this's mainly caused by the night shoot cos at night its so difficult to see the target that u don't even know where to aim... in the imt on mon everything was well and most of us score more than 20 of 30... but the actual live round wasn't that good...
the weather on tue was quite good as compare to other days... not too hot and not raining... but it's still quite humid... then at there bought quite alot of things from the ninja van and the SFI food there is better then ours so ended up eating lots of things and i think the last 2 weeks of eating less are all gone liao... worse is we still eat macdonalds at night after coming back to camp and eat till abt 1am, and we each got 2 packet of fries cos the first one wasnt very good so we call to complain and they send a new one here... but we still eat the old one so eat 2 packet lor... haha :p
then yest and today did all the clearence and FFI and thank god all are done liao... now only left those which can only be sign on the last day... but the worse thing now is we still havent really confirm when is our last day, although the disrupt is approve liao...

had experience something which is not good and nobody would like to have it... sounds quite bad and yup, this afternoon went to NUH with some of my church ppl cos one of our brother fracture his shin while playing soccer so we went to visit him... but beside him we also got visit another two more ppl... they are from the elder generation and one of them is our youth pastor's dad... so is like going around the hospital to see 3 ppl... and there's lots of links inside and we almost got lost...
but really thank god that all 3 of them are recovering well and are all in stable condition... pray that they'll recover well and will be able to discharge soon...

Poly 50
poly 50 come and go... yup, congrats everyone for completing the race.. although we didnt win any prize, but its great that we have a good time of fellowshiping and catching up with one another... and we managed to complete the race faster then expected! that's a good thing but i think next year if got run must really train properly... now lots of us including me having serious muscles pain around the leg and stomach esp today friday 13th...
after the race went to PS BK for dinner cos one of our bro flying off to Perth to study next week... so its like a farewell dinner la, as i dun think we'll get to meet again till dec when he comes back...
then yest went back to Sp again for the live meeting... they call it crossroad now... after that have dinner at clementi sumo house.. quite alot of us go and it can really rekindle back my student's day, which i really need now and i'm starting lesson in like 24 days and orientation camp in like 12 days... haha :)
must get the studnet and study mood back! :p
after the race went to PS BK for dinner cos one of our bro flying off to Perth to study next week... so its like a farewell dinner la, as i dun think we'll get to meet again till dec when he comes back...

now sitting in my newly arranged room which i've spent the whole of saturday (070707) doing it... its cleaner now but its still messy on some parts cos i've not finish sorting out all the stuff yet... got many of the old notes and letters and must think of which one to keep and which one to throw... if not the whole room will be overflowed again... :p
sunday in church saw one of my ex-spec who was brought there by one of my church friend... quite suprise to see him there esp that we've not seen each other since he ORD in feb... then next week i going to lead my cell for lesson formally for the every first time... so its kinda stress now to prepare the lesson and what i afraid is getting stuck halfway, but hope it wont happen la... for the past 1/2 year cos i was doing shift duty so quite diff to lead... now finally can attend church every week... :p

Buffet Dinner & Poly 50 training
had a buffet dinner with some of my NS friends on tue night at furama hotel... although its in a hotel, but the buffet itself is quite disappointing... there's not much variety and the only thing that's more worth it is the clayfish... the rest are quite normal stuff... but luckily OCBC card got 25& discount so each person only abt $27... if not need abt $35...
then after the dinner at first wanted to take cab to go back camp to sign some form but we waited for the cab for like 1h+ still can't find any cab... all the cab are either with ppl or on-call or busy and we refuse to book a cab cos i think they're waiting for us to book one and by booking one means that we've give in to them... so some of them take bus instead but it was quite late liao so i decide to go the next day if not have to take cab home which i dun want...
so yest morning went back to sign the thing and happens to be able to do the blood test and book FFI date so went to do it... at first they say need to wait for the letter to come then can do then suddenly dont need... dunno what they doing also la, keep changing things... after then went to e-mart to buy shoes and use up all my credits...

Happy 40th Anniversary, JCC & SAF
indeed its a weekend with so many events and commeration... not just the celebrating of the 40th anniversary of JCC & SAF, there's also the closure of the national stadium, the late night shopping... plus also the GST increase to 7% on sunday (1st july), at least 5 ppl i know have their birthday on that day too... plus among other things... luckily the bus fare don't increase on 1st july now, but i dunno if it'll happen in oct...
on sat 30 june, our church had a 40th anniversary dinner celebration at the Chevron ballroom... its a 8 course dinner but somehow cos there's 10 ppl on each table so we didnt get that much food as expected... and it cost $40... but it include the t-shirt and magazine so still ok la...
after the dinner the youths decided to play bowling upstairs... it was already almost 11pm liao but we still decided to play... now i think the price increase liao cos it cost like $3.80 per game... last time was like $2+ only... most of us played 2 games and my score was 99 and 111... still get make it given that the last time i played was like 1/2 year ago... played till about 1.10am then took a cab home...
the yest got service at 9am... so is like me and most of us only slept for only 4h+... cos by the time i finish bathing all these is 2+ then got to wake up at 7am... so was very tired during the service... after the service there was a buffet but can say that the buffet was disappointing... there's only 3 main dish and the dried mee siam was so dry and hard and the chicken wing was quite hard also... the mee siam was worse than the SFI one in camp... but the side dish like the chocolate was great!
at night went to IMM with my family for a dinner at long beach cos we havent went there for like 1 year + liao... and today is youth day so my bro dont need to go sch... the crab there was great but we also got order the fish soup so in the end the bill comes to $191 after adding svc charge & GST... so ex sia...
but overall it was a weekend full of events but now its time to recharge and start preparing for NTU, which is just a month away... :)
