Buffet Dinner & Poly 50 training

had a buffet dinner with some of my NS friends on tue night at furama hotel... although its in a hotel, but the buffet itself is quite disappointing... there's not much variety and the only thing that's more worth it is the clayfish... the rest are quite normal stuff... but luckily OCBC card got 25& discount so each person only abt $27... if not need abt $35...

then after the dinner at first wanted to take cab to go back camp to sign some form but we waited for the cab for like 1h+ still can't find any cab... all the cab are either with ppl or on-call or busy and we refuse to book a cab cos i think they're waiting for us to book one and by booking one means that we've give in to them... so some of them take bus instead but it was quite late liao so i decide to go the next day if not have to take cab home which i dun want...

so yest morning went back to sign the thing and happens to be able to do the blood test and book FFI date so went to do it... at first they say need to wait for the letter to come then can do then suddenly dont need... dunno what they doing also la, keep changing things... after then went to e-mart to buy shoes and use up all my credits...

in the afternoon went to SP to train for Poly 50... i think in the state which we're currently at, i dun even if we can complete the race in 2h or not... dun need to think abt winning any prize liao la.... this year we only train like 2 or 3 times and only a few ppl attend the training... not like last time got almost 10 training and most ppl attend at least 5... then yest run 2 rounds already want to die already and on actual day will be even hotter and have to run more...

Happy 40th Anniversary, JCC & SAF

indeed its a weekend with so many events and commeration... not just the celebrating of the 40th anniversary of JCC & SAF, there's also the closure of the national stadium, the late night shopping... plus also the GST increase to 7% on sunday (1st july), at least 5 ppl i know have their birthday on that day too... plus among other things... luckily the bus fare don't increase on 1st july now, but i dunno if it'll happen in oct...

on sat 30 june, our church had a 40th anniversary dinner celebration at the Chevron ballroom... its a 8 course dinner but somehow cos there's 10 ppl on each table so we didnt get that much food as expected... and it cost $40... but it include the t-shirt and magazine so still ok la...
after the dinner the youths decided to play bowling upstairs... it was already almost 11pm liao but we still decided to play... now i think the price increase liao cos it cost like $3.80 per game... last time was like $2+ only... most of us played 2 games and my score was 99 and 111... still get make it given that the last time i played was like 1/2 year ago... played till about 1.10am then took a cab home...

the yest got service at 9am... so is like me and most of us only slept for only 4h+... cos by the time i finish bathing all these is 2+ then got to wake up at 7am... so was very tired during the service... after the service there was a buffet but can say that the buffet was disappointing... there's only 3 main dish and the dried mee siam was so dry and hard and the chicken wing was quite hard also... the mee siam was worse than the SFI one in camp... but the side dish like the chocolate was great!

at night went to IMM with my family for a dinner at long beach cos we havent went there for like 1 year + liao... and today is youth day so my bro dont need to go sch... the crab there was great but we also got order the fish soup so in the end the bill comes to $191 after adding svc charge & GST... so ex sia...

but overall it was a weekend full of events but now its time to recharge and start preparing for NTU, which is just a month away... :)

Last mount

it's the last mount loh.... the new batch of ppl finally finished their OJT and are now officially doing duty... so its time for us to step down!... but heard from oc that in aug we still need to go back on some days to help out as some ppl got to go for RSAF day training... although i'm already disrupt by then, but still have to go back in Dec...

watched transformer yesterday with my army friends at causeway point which was also the 1st day of it showing... its very action pack and there's fighting scene right from the start to the end... after the show actually planned to go to one of our friend's house for steamboat but it was quite late liao and we havent bought the things for the steamboat, so we decided to eat ichiban sushi instead... it still cost us abt $15 each... and GST going to increase in less than 2 days... so its going to be more costly then...

Pulse Summit 1

we had our jcc youth pulse summit today at jonathan's place which is at heritage view condo... its near dover rd there... it was suppose to start at 1pm but somehow everybody was late so in the end dragged till abt 1.45pm then start... its a summit where we'll discuss the outline of planning for the future of our church... its just a rough idea and it'll be look into more input during pulse talk...

cos we started late so we couldn't finish on time... but we only booked the function room till 5pm... so in the end have to move to an outdoor grass patch to carryon with the discussion...

after that we had dinner at a coffeeshop in the dover HDB blocks... i had mutton mutarbak and its yummy, other foods there are also not bad... after the dinner we decided to walk to the MRT cos we're all very full, but its a long walk which took abt 30mins... then the funny think is after we reach the mrt station some of them decided to take a cab cos got 4 ppl going to around the same area... sweat! cos its like can just take the cab before walking... haha... but we enjoy the fellowship le... :p

Fantastic 4 movie...

watched fantastic 4 with some of my shift mates at the new cathay AMK hub... before the show we had lunch at subway... the meal was good and healthy but the place is like very squeezy cos its very small... but i think most of the other subway outlets aren't any bigger... :p

as for the movie and the theater the show isn't as great as expected cos i think like the storeyline is a bit messy... the theater isnt that great either as compared to the grand cathay... and the worse is there is no toilets inside the cinema area... have to go outside holding your tickets else u can't go back in...

for my disruption still haven't hand in the form yet cos they say must get the certification letter and cannot use the acceptance letter in the enrolment package... just receive it thru email and tmr then see how...

Noble House

just came back from a dinner outing with my shift mates at noble house restaurant at UIC building... its a la carte buffet... the food are mostly great but the price is quite expensive... about $40 per pax... the total bill came to $772.38 for the 18 of us... but of course in the heart of shenton way sure ex one lor... about same as the si chun dou hua in UOB plaza but there is at 60 storey so seems to be more worth it... food wise like currently not much different for me...

after that decided to went home with some of us instead of going to the pub with the rest cos like quite tired liao then i also don't like to drink...

Kid's Camp 2007

over the past weekend had been busy with the church kid's camp and also to use my new digital camera and so sorry that havent update the blog for over a week liao...

on fri nite went to the Photography society to get more knowledge on using the camera... thank god i go cos the SLR has lots more function then normal camera which i'm not very familiar with... although it cost $20 but i think it's worth it..

then on sat went to church for the kids camp and also starting using the camera... afternoon went to science centre with the kids as part of the camp and its been a long time since i went there and quite alot of things have changed... after science centre went to IMM with my parents for dinner

sun morning went back to the camp and we went to upper seletar reservoir park... we had our worship there b4 we proceed to play games... the weather was so hot man and theres not much along the path on the side of the reservoir although the surrounding areas are nature reserves... and its a long walk between two ends of the park! but we have fun anyway and after that went back to church for the kids performance... the journey was fun too as we keep singing songs although the bus was overloaded and some of us have to stand...

for the 2 days i already taken over 800 photos and total space is more than 3GB... better quality pics takes up much more space and last time 3GB was the hard disk of a PC... i still need to select and compress the photos first b4 i can upload for everybody to see... so be patient ya...

as for today i took off and now they say that confirm must distrupt to go study... so now is getting a big mess in the schedule and must replan on how to do things and clear leave all this stuff... in the evening went for dinne at fish & co cos i won a $20 voucher last wk, and after that went to SP to visit their camp...

PC Show, World Book Fair, Runway Cycling...

it was indeed a busy week with so many events, and it was public holiday on thurs when i'm dismount... on last wed and thurs went for the world book fair and the PC show... the PC show was like super crowded and you couldnt even see things properly cos ppl just keep pushing you here and there...

at the show there i bought a new Nkon D40x digital SLR... yup finally my wish have come true! now can shot good photos lor... but first must get used to the camera and know it well which i've not done so cos after buying the camera the next 3 days have to stay in camp cos of the runway cycling so only today then can start to explore it... also bought a 1GB RAM for my friend and also another 2GB SD card... don't think 2GB is alot but with the SLR if want to shot high quality photos i think it can only take about 200 photos each...

yesterday was the annual runway cycling which was held at plab... so had to do lots of preparation work here and there... luckily got the new FDC to help us do most of the work if not i think its going to be tiring man...

oh ya on fri got the news that we may have to distrupt to go to study instead of clearing leave to do so... this means have to own them abt 5 wks and then go back to serve during the holiday... sianz... they say is new rule but i dunno lor... going to ask the sch first then see how... then out of all days have to say it on fri which happens to be 100 days to ORD on 9 Sept! why??? now dunno if my official ORD date is still 9 sep or not or going to be next yr or when... and tmr got to go back camp for the P226 THT then go home then tmr nite go back again cos wed is the shooting range... finally got the chance after 1/2 yr since 5 Dec (yup, exactly 1/2 year as of tmr) when the ex PC screw up and put my name in when I'm going to HK, and the next time forgot to put my name...

Pentecost Sunday - GDOP 2007

its Pentecost sunday today, and its also the global day of prayer 2007... it is the day where christian pray in unity across the world... yup, in singapore, we also had it at the national stadium... this is also the last time it'll be held at the national stadium cos it'll be torn down later in the year... last year we thought it'll be the last time but this year we still manage to have it there... haha...so its quite special and memorable and it may be the last time that i step into the stadium...

and god was good too... it hold the weather at the stadium throughout the session, even though there's lighting... and heard that it rained in certain parts of singapore around 8pm+, when the session was halfway through... but we have to leave slightly b4 the thing ends cos they dun want to get caught in the traffic jams... but overall we had a good time praying and fellowship with one another during the journey...

starting of school holiday...

the pri/sec school holiday is here again... although i'm not in sec sch anymore but will feel the effect as malls are more crowded on weekdays... plus the great singapore sale and the many fairs that are going on or coming up, its going to burn a hole in the pocket again... haha...

yesterday night went out with my NS friend for dinner... at first we wanted to go to a japanese buffet restaurant but somehow the restaurant has already closed down... nobody knows why it has closed down and i dunno if the info my friend got was up to date or not... so we ended up eating at sakura again which cost $28...after that some of them decided to go for KTV but i didnt go cos i'm meeting some crusader... but luckily i nv go cos as it's fri night so the rates are ex and i heard that each person got to pay like $20+ for 4 hrs of singing which i think is super ex... plus singing till 12.30am means have to take cab or night rider home cos the last train leaves at 0040h even with the extension...

this morning we had a JCCK family day in church... i was there to help out with the games to let the kids play... i was helping out with the F1 car race which is for the children to ride on a bicycle or go kart around a circuit... its fun but tiring cos some of those children just keep going out of the circuit or go in the wrong direction... so have to keep looking at them to prevent accident... after that went to expo for the food fair with parents and bought quite a number of food back... :p

flu virus goes on and on...

ya the virus seems to be unstoppable, and more and more ppl are falling sick... flu, cough, fever, sore throat... just in my unit alone already more than 10 ppl are sick at any one time... my bro side in his sch also got alot of ppl sick... :(

so for the weekend was in camp mounting, but feeling tired cos of the sickness... luckily the checkpoint that i do was not so siong one and cos it was weekend so not much vehicle if not sure die one... went to see MO on sun night to checkup again cos the old medicine doesnt seem to work much after 4 days... got some different one and now at least feel better... dont have fever now but still have flu and cough, although not as bad liao...

sick again...

oh... i'm sick again... down with flu, cough and slight fever this afternoon... i think its the flu bug around which has infected quite a number of ppl and its still spreading...

so now at home resting but tmr got duty so see if can get better tmr... if not then see how lor... afternoon went to billy bomber for lunch with mum before i starting feeling worse... but i think already got some symptoms as i couldnt finish the whole plate... although the serving is big, usually i can finish all, especially that i only had a light breakfast... so now i think must rest well and hope will feel better tmr...

Happy Mother's Day

its Mother's day today, and here's to wish all the mothers Happy Mother's Day... but didn't have any celebrations today as my dad is going to thailand for a business trip... we've already went for a dinner last week and my mum birthday is also coming soon so maybe wait for it then have a proper dual celebration... also most of the restaurant are very crowded today and they also increase the price...

and this is the 3rd consecutive year that one of my family members are not around in singapore on mothers day itself... in 2005 i was in melbourne for the Gen12ii mission trip & my brother was in malaysia, last year my brother was in perth on a school trip, then this year my dad is in thailand for a business trip... what a coincidence... and also just to say that we dont have mother's day celebration on the day itself... ;p

Happy 22nd Birthday!

turned 22nd on tuesday which means i've broke out of the 21st age and stepping further into adulthood and also means that i'm turning older... :p thanks for the sms and the gifts and also some mini celebration although not as grand as last year 21st birthday...
and also on that day finally got the real rubiks cube after having it out of stock for the past months... yup now can practice the hand techniques to turn faster although i need to season it first if not now it's abit tight... together i bought 3 cos 2 are for my friends who ask me to help them buy...

then yest night we had a pot luck dinner at patrick house for our dot and each of us bring a food each... then this kind of thing usually ppl will bring more then what is expected so in the end have a huge overflow of food... plus the 2 biggest eater are not around... so the rest of us eat till like crazy... the worst thing is all the food are fried and heaty stuff, and dont have a single veg... also all are bought outside except for mine which is made by my lovely mum... she got the receipt... i think i need to learn it from her so that i can make it in the future but sorry ar... having think of an english name for it cos when my mum learn that time its all in chinese... haha...

Happy 4th birthday PULSE!

our jcc pulse youth ministry is 4 years old! yup indeed god has been so faithful to the ministry for the past 4 years and we've been growing strength to strength in the name of the lord... also this also means i've been in jcc for 4 years loh... i first went there when pulse was just establish for 2 weeks... haha

yesterday we celebrate this event through a series of games and fellowship... we went to jurong lake park for the games after our youth worship, which also happen to be the first one since 11 march... oh man thats like abt 2 mths back...we had 3 water games with the intention to make everyone WET!... ya it wasnt as wet as i expected but it's more dirty, cos the we actually add colouring and some detergents in the water bomb... so beside getting wet you'll get those 'grossy' things... and for the first 2 games it actually went out of control and we ended up playing cheat and to attack the leaders instead of the target thing... but it was fun anyway... it was also so hot yest and now i've some sunburn on my skin... ;x and sorry dont have the photos yet cos my camera is still crazy and not working properly so the photos still over expose... must wait for those from other camera... and i think i need to get a new one soon if not can't continue to chase my photo dream... :(

i took off yest so that can go for the event but have to go back at night cos not enough ppl for mon morning... actually wanted to eat crab at long beach first with family to celebrate my brithday but it's fully book, so we go to jurong pt crystal jade instead... after that bought some food back for those ppl in camp... and the funny thing is cos they want to have steamboat but the wok is not working so they ask me to buy a new one... so is like buying everything that i can buy there...

flu... cough...

down with flu since tue night and quite a no. of ppl in my shift got it too... dunno if its pass from one another or the air... so now having block nose and an ichy nose...

yest went to watch spiderman 3 at grand cathay cos the flu wasnt so bad in the afternoon... there's the 4k digital for this show at cathay and vivocity and the screen is so much clearer than the normal one and its for the same price... so its very worth it... and no wonder its full house even on weekdays and during the mid year exams period for most sch... but half way through the show the nose block again so was feeling quite uncomfortable in it...

went to see doctor this morning to get some medicine for the flu and tmr got ippt but i dun think i can take it properly in this state... so see how first lor but got to book in tonight... :( and i'm taking sun off for the pulse anniversary... pray that the weather be good cos it's been raining for the past few days...

100 days to NTU :)

countdown... 100 days to begin lessons in NTU! yup, its true... 100 days more and its back to studies... although the countdown clock reads 93 days today but that's countdown to the orientation... the acutal lesson will start on 6 Aug, which is 100 days from today... yeah man! and that also means less than 100 days of full duties in NS... haha...

SPCCC FOP (27/04/07)

yesterday evening the sp campus crusade had a FOP which is also like a welcome tea for the freshmen... as it was my dismount so i went there... it was lead by the christian music band Forerunner... there was alot of good songs which can bring you close to God... we had more than 1 1/2 hrs of worshipping through singing the christian songs... close to 200 ppl were in the auditorium and it really connect me with the lord... many of them are freshmen but i didnt talk to them much but catch up those from around my batch one since we havent met for quite sometime liao... the current freshmen are from 1990 and it makes me looks so old now... 5 years difference...

although its not as big scale as the FOP at indoor staduim in august, but its as powerful as it... it's been quite a long time since i last attend a worship of this scale... hopefully sp ro other campuses ministry will orgainse this type of event and also looking forward to the indoor stadium FOP in 3-5 Aug which will feature Hillsong which is a famous christian band worldwide... that will be like the 3 days b4 i officially start lessons in NTU... :) yeah

MacDonald's food rules over SFI

over the past weekend mount, which i was in camp for the whole mount i had 4 meals which was ordered from outside... so this is like a record cos i usually eat the camp food... but this mount one the food was really sucks so everybody all order food outside...

then on sun night got like abt 22 ppl want to order macdonald... so in 1 phone call got like 22 extra value meals plus some other side orders... total $156... cos its too much then the delivery man have to take taxi to deliver the meals instead of bike which they usually does...it comes in 1 big box... at the best thing is the delivery charge is till $2... wonder who pays the taxi fares? :p but cos the order was too large we had a hard time sorting out the food then in the end find out short of 1 set... we total got 12 mcspicy set then i think they miss out one... so they come to send another set... then i think throughout the day got more then 5 delivery there...

during the mount also got teach some ppl how to play the rubiks cube... now we got 3 there so got more chance to play and now must try to improve the speed... the orginal one is easier to turn compare to mine but if u use mine to practice then use the orginal one u'll find the original one super easy...

but yest b4 dismount got another talking session with OC... this time is becos of not good things... cos certain things screw up again... so now some privilage is taken away... now cannot read books even at night and must walk to checkpoints... sianz... and on sat is 100 days to NTU... so it's less then 100 days of duty there... hee...

Gen12ii Melbourne, Australia - 2 year on...

today marks the 2nd anniversary since i went for my first mission trip with crusade to Melbourne... it was this day 2 years ago that we board the plane EK404 to begin our 19 days journey and blessing from the lord... and talking about mission tmr 10 ppl from my church are going to cambodia for a 7 day mission... so everything about mission trip starts popping up, and the most impt thing is to pray for them...

and also this afternoon managed to get a rubiks cube from science centre... but that one is not make by rubiks but some other company so its not as good as the orginial one... so far the original one still out of stock but i still prefer that... my one like hard to compete timing esp since i've known and memorise the steps...

CO dialogue

today b4 dismount we had a dialogue session with our CO and its something like informal one so we could just say anything freely... but of course la is usually those few who have more courage one who talk then me those quiet type will just listen through the whole dialouge... the good thing is there's Pizza to eat... heard that we'll have this every month, so think have to book out late sometimes... today only book out at 1400h...

luckily friday dont have ippt so dun need to go back tmr night then can go for the dot cell grp fully... havent been going since jan cos of all the events then its cancelled... then when there is i'm on duty... :( as for the rubik's cube i managed to get all the steps in solving it although i still have to refer to the steps... havent memorise all yet but i've manage to solve the cube! so now the next step is to memorise all the steps then try to reduce the timing taken to solve it...

Food Drive Collection

today actually my dad's company having a family day at jurong bird park... cos i got church in the morning so at first plan to go there in the afternoon... but then there is so crowded then my parents they all went for a while then go home liao... so in the end i nv go and stay in church till afternoon...

then this morning we continue with the food from the heart thing and we went to collect the food... the response was like... em... not very good cos many of the units ppl are not in or they say the did not receive the info last wk so was not prepare... but those who give really give alot and total up we still got quite a number... but my sec 1 cell and AAT only manage to cover 2 of the 4 blks today cos not enough time to do the rest so next wk have to continue...

but the thing is next wk i won't be around... then as for the other 2 one going to cambodia misson trip and the other also got army duty... so my sec 1 YO! cell dont have any cell leader... luckily we combine with AAT cell but for that cell 3 leaders, one of them also going to cambodia.. so must pray the other 2 will be present, if not we still got our Lord Jesus who's always present 24/7/365...

today we also got GB enrolemnt so there's quite alot of ppl in the church... but too bad this yr they nv provide buffet so dont hve anything to eat there... then i always say dont eat too much but sometimes if nv eat lunch but dinner eat more then is worse le... oh me why like that... then my current BMI is 24.9... just 0.1 more to consider overweight... why............ must control................... ahh......................

Black Friday - Friday the 13th

it was friday the 13th 2 days ago and thankfully nothing bad happens this time round... still rem the previous time in oct last year cos got big screw up things in camp on the eve of it then we all got punish on the friday 13th until like all gg to die like that... this time round it was all normal without any big events...

then after bookout on fri went to ngee ann city to see the army exhibition... there got the 40 yrs of NS there and I think its good esp for pre-enlistee cos all the things are there... but too bad my bro not free to go there...
after that i also went to see around taka there see if got any rubiks cube there but unfortuantely dont have... currently im trying to learn and memorise the steps to solve it and im using my friends one... i think last time my house got 1 but dunno where's it now... if got another one is better if not i think the current one is going to break apart soon if everybody plays it... so far i havent get the exact solutions yet and if can is taiko one so get more practice first ba...

NTU Medical Checkup

this morning, i went to NTU for the medical checkup... actually my schedule is on next tue but as i'll be in camp next tue and they say can go anytime this 2 weeks, so i go today lor... then no need to take off next tue...

cos i think i went quite early so there's not much ppl yet... i managed to finish the checkup at ntu in 15 mins... but for the x-ray part have to go to jurong medical centre to take... then that centre is just diagonally opp my house... haha... and there's also no queue at that time... so is like the whole checkup was done in 1 hr... much faster then i expected... but the ppl there say that afternoon is very crowded... so my advice is to go early if possible...

at night went to watch the number 23 movie cos i got the free ticket with zhiqiang cos he got nights out... so this is my 4th time watching a free movie for the past 2 weeks... the other 3 shows which i watch were the haunted sch, freedom writer & TMNT... but now currently don't have any free shows yet so can take a break first... haha...

Easter Sunday

it's easter loh... and Christ has risen from the dead! and his grace is upon us...

this morning we had our food from the heart food drive again where we go to our church neighbouring blks to let them know abt the food drive, and next wk we'll be going house to house to collect... currently i think only abt half the ppl there knows cos the other half all not at home... but hopefully ppl will be willing to donate to help the needy...

for the service its actually quite the same as normal days except that there's baptism today... other than that its almost the same and after church went to jp to watch the TMNT which i got the free tix... but i don't really find the show nice as compare to mr bean's holiday and freedom writer...

got to go back camp soon but will be dismounting tmr again...haha... see ya again...

Holy Saturday

today is the last day of the lent season, in which Jesus rested in the tomb... there's no service today and its mostly as per normal...

cos i didn't take leave today so i went back to camp to do duty for 8 hrs... so i did from 8am to 4pm, and after that i managed to get to book out immediately... so i only stay in camp for abt 10hrs... but have to go back tmr night cos not enough ppl on mon morning...

after booking out, cos it's still early so i join my parents for dinner at vivocity and basically that's all for today, and as we await for tmr where Jesus will rise from the tomb and the joy that follows it...

Good Friday

today is Good Friday, and we commerate Jesus death on the cross for our sins... so basically the service is quite a sombreme one as we pray and meditate for what chirst has did for us...

after the service and lunch, our youth gathered to paint the eggs for the coming easter sunday in 2 days... it's quite fun painting the eggs as we could use our imagination to draw what we can think of onto the egg... although the egg is just ordinary egg but i'll look so special after those drawing... at first we thought it'll be difficult but with the help of everybody we took less than 3 hrs to complete almost 200 eggs, and all of them look so unique and beautiful...

after the painting of eggs i also went to help roger to take care of the kids when the adults are having CE lessons... wow... tell u ar... really needs patients to look after kids, esp those younger then 10 yrs old one... all so hyperactive and keep running abt... and i think some form of generation gap i think... those kids are like 10 to 15 yrs younger than me... look so old man...

got to go back to camp tmr early morning and do duty... cos heard that too many ppl took off today so not v enough manpower... but hopefully tmr is better and hopefully can book out tmr night so that it's not so rush on sun...

Maundy Thursday

it's thursday of the holy week, and it's also known as maundy thursday... it's the day where jesus and his disciples had their last meal together b4 being arrested... while doing so Jesus’ also wash the disciples’ feet as a sign of servanthood... tonight there'll be a service to commerade this also tomorrow morning, which is the day of his cruxification...

i've already taken off on fri and sun so that i wont miss the 2 service which is the most important event in the christian calender... the other one being christmas... but i not sure if i'll go back on fri nite or sat morning... must see how first... but hope can confirm it faster if not v hard to plan things...

change in mounting timing

since the last mount, the taking over timing had been changed from 9am to 12pm... and now the static will be done b4 duty instead of on dismounting day... so now means that if there's no static we'll book in later instead of booking out earlier... although both have their good pts and now can wake up later, but it also means that the book out timing will definitely be later then 1pm... currently still need sometime to get use to it, esp if booking in at 10+... quite weird to book in so late...

this month is also quite terrible to say... with so many accident and vehicle breakdown and mis com... this wk got another friend involve in motorcycle accident and got injured... why like that? and i think as of now i'll never want to learn a bike.. if i want i think i'll go for class 4...

and a quater of this yr has pass.. tmr is april and also april foo... hahaha... hope it'll better then this month... have fever of those things pls... if not i'm going crazy soon... and also this coming week is the holy week, starting from palm sunday tmr till easter next sun, as we journey with christ to the cross and his cruxification...

finally, out 14th batch newbies are posted in this morning during the heavy downpour... yup they're finally here after waitng for 1 year! tomorrow will be the 1 year anniversary that i complete the OJT and started doing duty officially... but they'll be going through the 3 month course and OJT first before coming to take over duty... so we'll still have another 3 mths of normal and siong duty...

the duty for this mount was actually quite easy one... not too siong... cos got NSmen to help out... but becos some ppl took MC so in the end was like not much different from normal days... sianz... so far i still havent took any MC yet and hopefully i do not have to lar... no point saying that cos everytime other ppl take so i must take also unless its really serious then no choice la... but i should be taking off soon during the easter weekend but havent decide how am i taking it yet...

ahh.. so busy!!! and my camera's down...

ahh... have been so busy then expected ever since the CNY ended, and had my schedule so fully pack and didnt really have a chance to seat in front of the com peacefully... but thank god there's time to go with god through the retreat last weekend...

there was the my friend's accident and we had a visit to him, then the IT show, food fair, retreat, and also got a new spectacle, a dental appointment and also to send my camera for repair... phew... so many things for the past 2 weeks or so... so virtually spend most of my time outside so now everything has pile up again... and sorry ppl still havent upload the CNY photos and yuan xiao fireworks as i still havent sort them out...

the retreat last weekend went quite smoothly, and we really had a good time spent with god and also had a good fellowship with our bro and sis... god was really good and it did not rain during the retreat even though it looks like its going to rain when we were at the beach and also the bbq... but i dun have many photos from the retreat cos my camera was already not working properly then, so must wait for my frenz...

then today sent the camera for repair... hopefully can still have the warrently cos it juz expires 2 wks ago... must wait for their reply... if not if too ex i think just get a new one is better... so see how lor... and also today is also the 5th year anniversary that i last wear school uniform... it was on 22 March 2002, which was my last day in JJC for the 1st 3 mths... although it's already half a decade, but it seems like yesterday... time really flies...

later watching the mr bean movie b4 booking in... got ippt tmr again so have to book in tonight... but confirm fail one la, no time to train up...

4 years in Christ!

Happy Birthday! yeah... not my own physical birthday but my spiritual birthday, cos it was on this day 4 years ago that i pray and receive christ... you're also 'born again' into god's family... yeap, time really flies and i've known our lord and saviour jesus christ for 4 years already... but i have to manage my time properly to make full use of my time to go and explore this wonderful kingdom more, cos currently always screw up the time management and thus always ended up with things undone, including reading god's word which is totally not good...

also another thing is that i'm less than 1/2 year to ORD! and 4 1/2 months to NTU... this also calls for a need for time management... if not i think i'll go crazy after sch starts, from the current judgement now that i predict... so must really overhaul the entire time management...

a shocking week, and IT show is back...

it's been a shocking few days since monday, with so many unexpected things that happened, but i just summarise here cos some of the info are confidential...

on mon one of our friend crash his motorcycle onto a kerb and sustain some injuries to his face and body... luckily it is not so serious... then on tue there's another 4 car collision but this doesnt involve ppl i know... then a few hrs later an earthquake hit indonesia and some parts of singapore felt it too, like those in CBD and also part of the airbase...

then on wed we went to visit our friend in hospital... while on the way one of them who's driving accidentaily hit a cyclist... the cyclist doesnt fell down but complain of pain, and is quite demanding in compansation... eventually he was bought to the hospital and was paid some cash... so all these event make the past few days so shocking and i really dunno what to say... thank god everyone is safe in god's hand and no one sustain serious injury...

the IT show is back, and i went there this afternoon... i bought an 320GB external hard disk to store all my files and photos as i'm expected to run out of storage space soon with all the photos and videos taken from the past few months... i also bought a webcam so next time can do video chatting with me, if u also have one... but i havent install yet... i think next week then can do it cos it's so late now amd i'm going to slp liao... tmr is anothe wkend mount so i dun think can go back to the IT show again.:( wait for the PC show lor...

Goodbye CNY, Festive Season...

it's goodbye to chinese new year, and also the festive season which has been happening since deepavali in oct... so now... back to normal times...

just catch the last fireworks for this cny... not that many ppl compared to the 1st day and got a good spot even though i only reach the area abt 20 mins before it starts... will be uploading the video soon... the next time there's fireworks should be during national day, and by then i'm abt to ORD loh...

will miss all the fun for the festive season, although will still have some fun during normal times lar... and till the next one, its to prepare to study in NTU in july and also to cut down weight... oh no!

Yuan Xiao Jie

so fast... it's yuan xiao jie liao, and in a few hrs time CNY and the festive season will be over... and it has been a long and exciting time which has started all the way since deepavali in oct... after today i'll need to start to reduce weight and also to prepare for study loh... haha...

on fri after bookout went home first then after that got our platoon cohesion at sakae sushi... suppose to be at funan but i think cos of the rain so last min change to suntec... cos no shelter to funan... then i think somehow not everyone got informed and some ppl still go to the funan one... we had the hi-tea buffet which afte adding those 15% is abt $19.40... actually is not v cheap cos the varaity is quite little compare to the suki one... then last time i went for ala-carte each person only $7... after that met my ex-crusader also at city hall area, then we go carl's jr..

today also met a few of my crusaders for dinner then after that watch the movie Rocky Babola at marina sq... actually wanted to watch the letters from Iwo Jima but no seats liao... so change to this show lor... it's quite boring for most part of the show to say, and the cinema is only abt 1/2 fill, compare to the others where all are almost full...

still dunno if need to book in tonight or not... haven't receive any info yet... hopefully dont receive then will be mon morning... and better dont give last min info, like evening then call say must book in tonight... will cause a big upset in the time planning...

a busy mount in the middle of CNY...

just book out after another wkend mount, and its in the middle of the cny, the 6th, 7th & 8th day... cos there's lots of extra tasking and some ppl still go to report sick... although i know some is real like fever cos got proof but some ppl is like trying to get away with the things without thinking that others have to cover the duties for them... i dunno if its true or not la but i'm disappointed with it...

then the worst thing is that we had ippt b4 the mount, which make our legs aching then still have to stand long hrs... and btw, i only pass sit up, the rest of the station all fail... but its a very bad time to take the ippt cos it's only the 6th day of cny and everyone had been eating qutie alot for the past weeks and not train much... so have to try again next time...

Happy CNY, the year of the pig!

today is already the 4th day of the cny loh... and for the past 4 days had been going alot of places although i had to do duty on the 2nd day...

new year's eve was as usual, had reunion dinner with my aunt... after that went to chinatown to see the firecracker and get some cny goodies... but there's sooooooo many ppl... luckily still managed to the the crackers and get the muah chee at $5 a pack... there u pay $5 for a bag and can stuff as much as possible into the bag and nobody cares... haha

on the 1st day cos my father side didnt gather at a specific place and my dad is the 2nd smallest in the family line so had to visit their house one by one... altogether i think i visited 7 houses all over the island and after that went to river hong bao... but its too hot and stuffy and crowded there so stay there for a while only then went to the marina sq foodcourt to watch the fireworks... then 2nd day suppose to visit my mother side which all will gather at my grandpa's house so only go just 1 place... but got to do duty then must get my bro to get the ang bao...
yest book out quite early then went to 2 of my church friends house for the cny visitation, which we also played some games there...after that went to river hong bao again... yest not that much ppl so i think some ppl have to work the next day ma, so easier to see...

i also got drive for part of the journey for the 3 days and i think the total distance travelled by the car can almost reach Genting liao... wow... quite alot man... i saw the meter its about 350km, can past KL and plus abit more is genting... haha... will be dismounting till tmr then after that is another weekend mount...

Valentine's, total defence, CNY...

3 events in 5 days... valentine's, total defence and chinese new year... and as such, on wed b4 we take over duty, there was a buffet and a mandrain orange presentation by the CO... and also a speech for total defence... so it's to celebrate and commerate 3 events in one go... the buffet food was quite alot, and after eating that, can no need to eat the SFI lunch and dinner... unfortunatly the lunch that day was good also but the dinner sucks... so basically didnt eat much after the buffet...

yest went to causeway pt to watch epic movie... it's quite a funny show with a combination of a few movie... but it's quite disappointing that the movie itself is only abt 65 mins long... one of the shortest movie i've watch... althought most of the things are funny, most of it doesnt make sence in the real world... there's also 3 more movies with started on thurs, like Ghost rider, protege and just follow laws.. and also norbit tmr... so its like so many movie... if watch all even with ang bao money also must think first... haha...

its cny eve liao... and going to have reunion dinner soon... after maybe go chinatown to see if got cheap things or not and see the countdown... Wish everyone a very happy and prosperous new year! :)

5 more days to CNY!

it's 5 more days to CNY, and the festive mood is getting thicker and thicker... the cny this year falls on one of the later date, so there's more time for preparation, cos last year this time yuan xiao jie was already over... :p

but the sian thing is i'll have to do duty on the 2nd day of new year (19 Feb)... actually my shift was suppose to do on 2nd & 3rd day but the other shift say they dun want to do both eve and 1st day... but doing on 1st & 2nd day is like more worst, cos if u really stay in for both days u dun get any ang baos... :( but luckily got stand down some chkpts so dun need so many ppl and half of us can go out on each day...

then yest night go to this restaurant called noble house at UIC building... then cos of the cny the ala cart buffet price was $40+++ instead of around 30... after adding those svc chrge gst almost 50... so ex sia... i wasn't the organiser but even he didnt expect it... so 50 bucks gone liao for the mth... after the dinner most of them want to go boat quay to 'drink', as in not normal drinking but those at the pub lor u know lar... but i just go there see for a while then got to go liao cos its running late and i dun want to take cab home... but i also dun like that type of place la, not suitable for me also...

old specs ORD soon... but i still got 7 mths...

last mount our old specs came back to do a full mount duty for the last time b4 they ord... some are going to get back the pink IC next wk and some in march... :p then me still got 7 more mths to go... :(
its the wkend again... but today is also the 1st anniversary for one of my sec sch friend who had a motorcycle accident and passed away last year... the memory of her in my mind is still quite fresh actually although we didnt get to meet up that often after grauduating... but while in sec sch she's one of those whom i talk and went out more often in our group... so its so sad that she has to leave us so early...
then today managed to persaude my parents to go down to the business office to take a look at some of the products... although they didnt buy any yet, but i think its still a good start... hope that it can go well as i proceed further but of course with army now and church commiment and also with sch starting in aug i dunno how much time i have for it...

IPPT cancelled again... and 3 wks to CNY!

the ippt last fri was cancelled again cos there was a drizzle for around 1/2 hr when we're abt to start... so i think maybe its fated that we shouldnt take the ippt so fast yet, as most of us will fail anywhere... but another 2359h book in wasted again...

yest night actually wanted to go chinatown but as one of my friend's dad passed away so go down to the wake instead... then today afternoon go jp with my mum to buy come cny clothes and cd... and btw, if u want to buy cd or vcd should look around all the cd shop first b4 buying, as the same cd can cost $3 even though the 2 shops are just beside each other... and it's the orginal mediacrop CNY songs... one cost $18.90 and the other $21.90...

after that went raffles place with my friend to look at the business again, and i think maybe i should give it a try again... see where god leads lor... after that then go chinatown to see the new year bazzar there... didnt buy anything yet as i still going around comparing prices and also usually the price will drop as the day come closer... so wait lor... haha...

another buffet lunch...

yest after dismount, went to hougang plaza to have buffet lunch again... and its suki buffet, another jap restaurant... have been going for jap food for the past few weeks... :p and also quite alot of buffet...

there is like not very much ppl.. think becos it's wkday and also must take a lift up to reach the restaurant, and some ppl may not know abt it... cos the place is also quite small...
got to book in tonight cos tmr got ippt... last time it was cancelled cos it rain, then now its going to rain again... so dunno what it'll be like tmr... but it doesnt matter anyway cos i'll surely fail so confirm have to retake again some other time... stupid standing board jump which i have only passed once... :(

a different kind of worship

this morning worship was quite diff from normal... cos the worship leader wasn't there for the service, so there's no worship leader... so another person took over and we just sing without any lyrics or musicians... and we get to choose the songs we want to sing... :p

as for the cell grp name after some voting we've decided to call it Yo! or Young Ones... cos they're all secs 1.. then made me feel younger... those ppl are 9 years younger than me... cant believe it man...

after church went to je library... now there's pasar malam at clementi, je & jw ave 1... all for CNY so is like not much stores at each location since they'll spread out... at je all the food smell are quite strong and just by walking along the walkway from mrt to jec can make your shirt stink with the food smell liao... like too cram along the walkway also...

audit over liao... but still got other things...

the securiity audit came and go without my notice, cos it happened during my dismount day... so i don't get to experience it but it's good too cos i dun think i want to see it also.. haha...
then fri book out quite late cos we all got a foot drill punishment as some ppl try to do some funny things (sorry dont think i want to elaborate here)... then the drill make us all sweaty b4 we book out cos it's at 1300h! sianz... but luckily i can go home first b4 going out at night for dinner at PS with my batch crusaders... alot of ppl there then walk around a few times b4 settling for pasta mania... :p

then today went to vivo with one of my crusaders for movie and meal... watched blood diamond and although it's not bad but i find it quite violence... and also the aircon not cold until towards the end... think they forgot to switch on... :(

tmr going to my new cell for the 2nd time... hope it went well and also can think of the name of it...

ahh... going to overweight liao...

on mon dunno why suddenly ask us to measure height and weight and dunno why my height is shorter but as expected my weight gains abit... and i'm less than 1kg b4 i go to the overweight zone!!!!! :(:( cannot eat too much liao but i think it mostly came from sleeping too fast after eating... cos of the duty schedule sometimes have to do at night and no choice have to slp during the day and that causes it... if not cos my metamolism is quite high so it's easier to burn off the excess so i can still maintain it if i follow the regular lifestyle... but if i sleep after eating then i dunno what will happen... :(

i think must also exercise more la then the ippt last fri was cancelled cos of the rain but now i also confirm fail one... esp the standing board jump... running i dunno what's like now cos i didnt time for very long liao...

then after book out that day still eat seoul garden.. die die die... now dunno what's the weight... but the last few days tried to eat less and not sleep so soon after eating... but now it becomes that i'm soooooooo tired from the lack of slp :(:( ORD come faster leh!!!

SP open house 2007

b4 the met up yest, i also went back to SP to see the open house and innovex, and also to see some of my junior's projects...

time really flies man... those juniors were still year 1s when i was year 3... and now they're gruduating soon... another 3 more weeks they'll be having their final exams liao... and those born in 1990 are entering JCs or polys this year...

i managed to change by 'status' there as visitors instead of alumni there... haha, and join those sec 4s to get the goodie bag and ice cream... haha... but at the innovex like there's leser ppl than last year... think is becos it's still too early in the year and some ppl don't expect the open houe to be held so early and also fewer sec schs brought their students here... esp those exhibiton further in... seems like pratically there isn't any visitor and the rooms are fill with their own ppl instead...

from what i see i think innovex 2008 might be held at the end of the year instead of next yr cos next yr the exams starts even earlier, on 21 jan... this year it gonna start on 29 jan... so till then...

meeting up with my Aussie team mates

yesterday, i planned a meet up with my gen12 australia team mates from the 2005 trip... it's been quite long since we last met and currently one of us are back in singapore for a few weeks so i decided to take this chance to meet up together b4 she goes back there to study...

we had 6 ppl out of 12 ppl from the team came... it's qutie disappointing at first but nowadays everyone have their own things to do and i also not free everyday also ma.. so ok lor... we went to sakae sushi at citylink mall... suprisingly we got a table immediately when we reach there... cos i thought have to queue up v long since it's sat evening... but i think there's too many outlet around... that area got 4 altogether... citylink, funan, marina & suntec...

it's really good to catch up with one another, and 1 of them even have not met the other 1 for more than 1 year.. cos they always not present together during all the meet up last year... oh man... that's not having met up for the entire 2006...

hoping that we can meet up again next month as another ppl from the team come back from melbourne as she's studying there also...

Happy 2007!

it's 2007 already... yeah... and it's going to be the year of my ORD... haha... another 8 mths 9 days more... but the best thing is that i think by mid-july i can start clearing leave and i'm going back to study in end-july...

so plus i going to lead a new Sec 1s cell in my church this year with 2 other ppl, it's going to be a challenge year and also with lots of transitions since i going to uni... and i forsee i should be v busy in the 2nd half of 07 esp when i start studying...

so even though i'm not that stress yet now but i still hope that july will come faster and i can get out of the base and standing gate alone all night long plus sleeping irregualr hours... it's making me feel tired very easily...

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2007

first of all, wish u all a belated merry christmas and an advance happy new year 2007... sorry had been very busy the last few days leading to christmas... got christmas dinner and also have to pack gift for gift exchange.. so didnt have time to update the blog... then yesterday the taiwan earthquake make the internet speed slow so cant be bother to wait for it to load...

btw my hong kong journel and photos are still 'processing' and hopefully i can get it done right after the new year celebration... ps i'll be on duty from 29 to 31 dec, so can only book out on 1 jan.. as such this would probably the last time that i'm here this year... unless i take off if not after i book in later this morning i will not come out till next year... :(

The journey of Hong Kong

The hong kong trip… I was fun n excited in the beginning as me and my family make the way to the airport at 5.30am… then when I reach the airport, got a surprise! I met my church pastor there also as he’s going to Cambodia with 3 of my church members… so qiao… haha… then the flight was delayed cos one runway was closed so all the plane have to land and take off at the same runway, and landing planes have priority, so that’s why…
We reach hk at abt 12.30pm… after that we went back to hotel b4 going for sightseeing… the hotel was a great disappointment… it’s sooooo small that after putting in the luggage, there’s NO space to walk, and some more must shift the bed in order to open the fridge!
But that didn’t dampen our spirit la… cos I think we’ll spend most of the time outside… the tour guide bring us for a desert b4 going ladies street for shopping, after that a temple which I dun understand what’s going on, then dinner at lei yue men… then go to Victoria peak for a great view of hk city… but too bad can only stay there for 15mins.. cos I really love the view and the temperature there… abt 18 deg…

2nd day there… we went for dimsum breakfast b4 going to repulse bay, stanley market, aberdeen fishing village, jwellery factory… but like v rush so didn’t get to see much in each place… after that went for a roast goose lunch which I eat quite a lot… then we went to the train station to go Shenzhen… took abt 45mins b4 we reach the immigration, and have to stamp the passport twice… haha…
In Shenzhen, the traffic there is move on the right side one, cos is china liao ma… haha… the hotel there was a total difference from hk… there it’s so big and cozy, with a big lobby & a Christmas tree there… and I really hope I can stay there for the whole trip… we went for dinner which I can’t each much cos I too full after eating too much lunch… then went for shopping… there the things are really cheap… like only abt 1/3 of the price here…so buy a lot of things there… but too bad only got 2 hrs, have to rush like crazy… :p

3rd day… got a buffet breakfast at the hotel café…there got play Christmas carols but the CD keep on getting jam… so quite funny also… haha… then we go to windows of the world where the whole’s famous landmark are all there! Like the paris effiel towel, Nigeria falls, etc etc… there also got a snowcity and we get to go in for a while and experience temp of -10 deg… wow soooo cool…
After lunch, went for a ‘medical talk’ and my parents spend like more than $1000+ sing dollar for the medicine… hope it works well… then we went to splendid china but we only got 45mins there so have to rush like crazy again… we just took the tram and finish everything in less than 30mins and didn’t absorb anything at all except for some randomly shot photos which are unclear due to the fast moving tram… like wasting money sia… L but the cultural was great… after that pay S$8 for a dinner which seems to be the worse one for the trip… then we went back to hk…

On 4th day, in the morning f&e b4 we go Disneyland at 10am… it was suppose to be a fun-filled day after reaching there… but the weather was like so hot so a bit sian… then after a while my brother starting to feel dizzy and sick so he and my mum go back to hotel first… so left me and my dad… we just walk around and took some rides… the queue were so long so like one ride took abt 1hr… also ate lunch n dinner there, plus managed to catch the beautiful fireworks there…
But after we left Disney, things starts to turn bad not just for me, but the whole tour group… my bro was already puking vomiting n diahorrea in the hotel and I also started puking on the way back to hotel.. think is the stupid dinner at disney’s starliner cos after eating that I started to feel werid… plus a few others also starting vomiting b4 that… so 3 of us went to the hospital…

Throughout the night I keep vomiting and having diahorrea… sianz man… haven had that for v v long time liao.. then had to have it overseas.. LLL but not just me and my bro… but another 10 ppl in the group also fall sick at the same time.. so together like 12 out of 17 ppl in the group were sick on the last day.. so no mood for shopping at all but to go hospital or lie on the bed…
So everyone was like dying as we left the hotel to the airport… then we were late due to all the waiting… plus have to take so many travellators to reach the aircraft… almost died… then another bad thing… the plane couldn’t take off due to some fault, and we had to sit in the plane for almost 1 ½ hrs b4 it took off… plus the dinner provided was sucks too… although we already had no appetite the sucky dinner plus the delay made it worse… so in all the last day was a total disaster…
But thank god we’re all back safety in one piece and have recover from the illness...

came back from HK...

just came back from HK, but i came back in such a horrible state after vomiting and diahorrea for the last 24 hrs b4 reaching singapore... and in fact about 13 out of 17 ppl in the tour group were down with it...

anyway, i'm v tired now and will share the trip later on... going to slp liao..

Christmas getting nearer... & Billy Bombers and friends 21st bday (241106)

going down orchard road or other shopping malls, it's full of christmas decorations lol... and it's 1 more month to that big day, where our lord and saviour Jesus Christ was born!

on fri after we book out from the PLAB's 25th anniversary sports day, we went to bugis junction billy's bomber to celebrate one of our friends birthday... it's an american style restaurant and as u all know lar, western food serving are always very large... i ordered something like chicken cutlet... it also comes with a soup, drink and ice cream... plus the chicken and fries are also very big... eat until like even more full than buffet... think is becos of the chicken ba... it's more oily than the sushi we ate at sakura...

in the evening i've another friend's 21st bday bbq at amk... i went home first then go out again... so in the end reach there quite late... cos the place also far ma... but he cut the cake quite early, like 8pm cut liao.. so when i reach there they already cut the cake, but still got cake and food la... but doesn't feel that good...

Booking out after 1 week & Asian Food Fair...

Finally, i get to book out after staying in camp for 1 week for the exercises... although during the 7 days we did not clock as much hours per day as compare to normal duty days due to NS men helpout, we're still very tired... think is because we did not sleep normal hours for too many days ba (cos have to do duty at night ma)...

there's 1 day where i even stay on the bed for abt 12 hrs.. but still tired after that, cos got alot of distraction in the bunk as ppl go and come back from duty and of course noise will be generated... the funny thing is when i slp i set the alarm but it ring immediately... as it is the analog type so if its on it'll ring every 12 hrs..haha...

during those 7 days also got to wear helmet for duties on some days and also 1 of the day must eat combat ration... its quite tiring to wear helmet for duty as it's heavy... feel like fainting after 4 hrs... but thank god he brought me through all these and it's back to normal now... by right it shd be 'special' for tmr as there's NS men so we do not have to do so much but last min they say they are only doing till today, so tmr is back to normal routine... so it's really 'normal' duty back again from now...

then today i went for the asian food fair... nowadays like those food and IT fair are getting more and more popular... every 3 mths got one... another IT showm SITEX is coming next thurs to sun... shd be going down but dunno if will buy anything or not... going broke liao... today just bought some nougats for $30...

maybe no recall, but got to stay in for 1 week

there's maybe no recall after all, but just have to book in by 9pm on sunday nite... then will have to stay in till next monday afternoon, so is like about 7 1/2 days... sianz...

luckily got NSmen help out in some of the checkpoints during and also after the exercise... total abt 2 weeks, so i think duty wont be so siong as last few weeks...

last sat, our whole base had a recall exercise... it involves all the sqn in the base so everyone had to go back... for me as my shift was mounting that day so i'm already in camp... luckily they go the recall at 10am which is still not so bad as it doesn't the rest of the weekend... for that one they just go sign can go off liao..

as next week we're having an exercise, the last sat was like just a 'practice'... the real one will like come this coming weekend, either sat or sun... so like very sianz cos have to keep on standby and cannot go out freely... then the worst thing is for this recall is not just sign and go off... will have to stay in for abt a week...

so dunno got chance to go church or not, if not i'll miss having youth service for 3 mths, as the other 2 wks i'm mounting... there's no youth service since 10 Sept and if i miss this sun one, the next one i can go is 10 Dec... althought got the youth camp from 1-4 Dec, at least better...

Great World CIty

went to great world city on fri, just after bookout... it's been quite long since i last went there and there're some changes there... Got new basement 2 but then the whole shopping centre looks quite dead even on fri nite... i think is becos of the location (must take bus) and after OG left, there's not much other things to do...

i went there to meet up with my former crusade DG members... we have commited to meet once a month, and the reason it's held there is becos the staff got a discovery weekend at BB HQ just beside great world... so managed to revisit the place and to catch up with the rest, esp 1 of them is going ex-wallaby next mth...

DeepaRaya holiday!

it's the starting of the festive seasons! with deepavali and hari raya just days apart... but as i was doing shift duty i was on duty from last fri to sun, thus was working thru the deepavali... then i off on mon and tue, which includes today's hari raya puasa...

yest i went back to SP crusade to meet up with some friends... quite alot of NS guys went back yest, esp those in BMT as tue is holiday so usually they won't ask the recruits to go back tekong for just 1 day, so they give them off...

we decided to go for dinner, together with the rest of the crusaders... at first we planned to go thai express at tiong bahru plaza, but it was full house liao... then our group like very big.. abt 20+ ppl... so we decided to go to harbour city restaurant which is like very little ppl inside and is the only place which can accomodate us in one piece... it's like quite a high class restaurant then to us ppl which behave like we're in clementi kopitiam like very funny... also the food is very ex.. a plate of fried rice cost $9++... then beside that my table alone got $17 worth of peaunts, tea, towel... so is like each person must pay $12...still got another table...

beside that it's quite good to rekindle those days together while i'm still student, and catch up with them... but now the trend still like not much year 1s are joining us seniors... hope more can join in the future...

and btw, selemat hari raya puasa!

a peaceful mount...

after an evenful mount last week (which i can't elaborate much as it is sensitive, cos it's SAF ma), nothing much happened this week... just that too many ppl got att C so there's not enough manpower... have to do 24 hrs duty over 2 days... usually is around 20 hrs...

nowadays the haze seems to be getting worse... the PSI is over 100 for some of the days... have to wear maze for duty if not cannot stand the smell... and somemore it's unhealthy... and i think becos of the haze more ppl are falling sick...

yest after dismount we were told to clear some of the prows... but the one which i'm working on got a big ant nest there so we could not finish the task... after that some of us went to sakura at parkway parade for a high tea buffet... it cost $16.90... is consider cheap compare to alacarte sushi as the market price is $1.90 per plate... but if compare to lunch which is $20, is consider ex cos the lunch got alot more things, beside the sushi...

Christmas Decoration in Orchard & going to HK in Dec...

today i passed by orchard road and they've already start putting up the christmas decorations... esp those outside paragon and crown prince hotel... but the rest not up yet except the lights on the trees... but most should be up within the next 2 weeks... and also the chinatown mooncake festival lights will end today...

yest went to chinatown with my family to book the tour to hong kong... the package cost like $900+ then plus taxes all these more than $1000... cos is the holiday season so no choice lor... my bro can't go other time... then dun want to take budget airline as the flight is 4 hrs... will only take to thailand if i want i think...

i going there from 5 - 9 Dec so have to apply overseas leave... just nice right after my church PULSE camp which is from 1 - 4 Dec... like going to be the same story as 2003 as this time round got Asian games in Doha during this period instead of SEA games... luckily the Meta is on 26-30 Dec and not clashes during the same week as in 2003... ironically, i last went for holiday with my family in 03 and the last PULSE camp was also in 03...

Vivocity

since vivocity opened last week, i've went there twice to have a look... it's a very big mall, but currently not all the shops are opened... there's even some pools, water features and an amphitheatre on the level 3 rooftop... the mall also got 3 big food courts, not to say there's another 2 at harbourfront mall...

as for other things harbourfront mall already got the BiG store which is quite big then now there's even more things at Vivo... confirm this place is bigger than suntec and perhaps we'll be meeting here for gathering in the future...

sianz... have to go back camp to take photos tmr...

today and tmr are suppose to be my dismount day... but then b4 we went off today we were told that there's a photo taking for the squadron tmr and all of us have to go back... this is like very sianz, cos have to travel so far just to take that photos... waste time... plus it eats into the rest day... same as last time on 16 sep go there for 45mins but spend more than 3 hrs on the road...

luckily the reporting time is 11.30am... if the usual time then even more sianz.. have to wake up so early...

Fare increase from tomorrow...

From tmr, bus and train fares going to increase again... this time round the fare increase seems to be more than last year... last year bus only raise by 2 cents but this year those above band 3 increase 3 cents... i think is becos now they didnt increase the cash fare that's why, even though the overall increase is lesser... like kena 'cheated' cos most of us use ezlink instead of cash...

but luckily concession pass didnt increase, and i'm still eliglible for concession pass for the next 4-5 years or so... now NS then after that in uni... so dun care abt it lor... just buy the pass and use it's benefits... hope the won't increase the pass next yr...
and btw, happy children's day! haha...

funny sia... all 3 phones not working properly...

currently as i'm in national service and the camp doesnt allow us to bring camera handphone... so i dig up some of my old phones to use... these phones are quite old model liao and may sometimes give problems..

then today the phone that i usually use the batt suddenly run down very fast and the 'battery empty' signal came out quite soon... the 2nd phone also no more batt... then the 3rd one although the batt is full, the phone could not detect the SIM card... so it's like having 3 phones but still have to be uncontactable... SWEAT!

more stress in PLAB...

after doing just 1 mount at plab, have started to feel the stress here as compared to tengah... it's more strict here at plab and also the punishment for mistake is higher... so a mistake might meant staying in for more than a week... in tengah, it may mean staying back for only 4 hours for a few dismount day...

but maybe the stress also adds up as i was doing main gate for the mount... i've never done there b4 during april b4 we get posted out... i only did there during the OJT...

Pulau Ubin Cycling (17/09/06)

on sunday, some of my church youth went for a cycling trip at pulau ubin... actually it's part of the DOT retreat for youth leaders from fri to sun... but i'm currently not a youth leader yet, i only went for the ubin trip...

we only set off at 2pm, which at first i think was quite late as i think we may need quite a long time to cover the island... it's also my 1st time to Ubin, so i dunno anything there... become like a tourist.. sweat! haha.... we went cycling around the island but unfortunately we only managed to cover the westen part of the island cos there's not enough time for the eastern part... another time ba... we managed to see an old quarry and also a beach facing malaysia... at some parts the HP network change to Malaysia maxis, DiGi or CELCOM... dunno why malaysia's signel seems to be stronger then singapore... must check b4 using the phone otherwise will b overseas call then sianz liao...

throughout our stay at ubin from 2 to 6pm, it didn't rain at all as compared to the past 2 days where it keep raining like crazy...although the sky did turn quite dark with lots of cloud and very windy towards 6pm... but god hold the rain as we're still cycling out in the open... after these 3 days of going outing in outdoor, i really feel that god is really protecting the events from being ruined by the rain... everything for the 3 days was mostly carried out as planned with only some slight delay... God is good!

but while we're on our way back to mainland, 1 of us found that she's left her handphone at the coffeshop at ubin... sianz... but really thank god cos it was handed to the owner of the shop and she kept it for her... at it was already past 6pm so nobody is going to ubin at that time so she had to pay $20 instead of the usual $2 to take the bumbboat there... but it's better then losing the phone...
we had dinner at changi village hawker centre and i eat stingray again, after having eat that quite alot the day b4... like those thing i seldom do one but when do will do it more than once within a short span of time... like going to beach and BBQ... think may not always happen but it's true, for the past 3 days at least...

i agree shared cab home with 3 other ppl living near me so can reach home faster but have to pay la, cos i got bus & train concession liao but it takes super long to go by that...

another BBQ...

on saturday evening, my friend invited me to his 21st birthday party at a garden near his house at c'wealth... it's also near my old house... the friend was actually my pri & sec sch friend... we also study the same poly but diff course...

it was a BBQ so that means i had 2 BBQ in 2 days... wow... sounds good but like eating too much fried stuff liao... but this bbq as it was held at the place where it's surrounded by buildings, it's quite hot as there's not much wind, even though the weather was supposely the same as the day b4 at east coast... once again, god is good as even though it also rained for the whole afternoon but the rain stopped once we start the fire... god really answer the prayer...

as i was the in the same pri & sec sch, i know quite alot of friends there compared to some others... so it was also like catching up on those friends whom i've not met for quite long... what a wonderful combination... haha...

100 days to Christmas!

it's 16 Sept again, and once again, it's 100 days to Christmas! wow... time flies and the festive season is round the corner...

but b4 the christmas lightup there's still the mooncake festival, deepavali and hari raya puasa, all within next month and all comes with lightup at chinatown, little india and geylang... mooncake festival one has started and malays are starting their ramadan fast in 1 wk plus time...

so it's going to be festival all the way till CNY... pocket going to break again... hehe...

went back to PLAB for 1 hour...

we were told to go back to plab this morning cos heard that they got some important things to settle... but it was like quite 'wu liao' cos we only there and hear a few words then can go back liao... my shift is not mounting today for those 2 shift that are mounting they need to help to do the manning cos of the IMF they need more manpower...

is like a waste of time cos i need to take 1 1/2 hr to go there and another almost 2h to come back... plus need to wake up by 4.30am cos i live quite far... but thank god still can get the weekend... then mon i think will be quite 'xiong' becos the IMF still on and got more task to do...

SPCCC BBQ - (15/09/06)

yesterday SP crusade had a bbq at east coast... since it was my off day so i decided to join them for the fun...

the weather was like it was already raining on and off since thurs evening for yest it rained for most part of the morning and cont till afternoon... when i reach there at abt 3pm it was still drizzling... so we waited at the mac for quite a while... the rain still did not really stop so at first we tot of shifting the bbq to someone's house... but thank god we didnt cos there's alot of things to carry and that it stop raining when we reach the pit!
throughout the whole event besides a few drops of drizzle it didnt rain, althought sometimes the sky looks quite cloudly... really really thank god for it cos i'll be a mess if it were to rain while we were bbqing...

so becos it has been raining for the whole day the weather was super cool, esp since we're at the beach with the SW monsoon wind it blows directly to the beach... and the wind was cold! it was even colder then aircon... this is also the 1st time that i dun sweat at all at BBQ... usually i'll be sweating like crazy... so it was very comfortable to do the BBQ and also since the wind was so cold that we need the bbq pit for warmth if not our hands are going to froze.. haha... but i think becos of the cold wind the food took very long to cook... the chicken like put there 1/2 hr also not totally cook... wait until we're all starved..

really thank god for the whole yest and also when i go back with some of us, the bus arrived within 1 min when we reach the bus stop... some ppl decided to stay overnite but i didn't cos not prepared for it plus i need to go back camp... dunno did it get much colder in the wee hours.. hehe...

Farewell Tengah!...

this morning marks the last time that i'll be going to tengah air base officially... we went there for the CO dialogue which was also planned so that they could thank us and bid farewell to us...

actually we had already finished our last duty on mon and brought our stuffs back to plab, so this is an extra thing... i think what i'll miss from tengah is the short travelling time (since i live so near to it), and also the canteen food esp the nasi lemak and chicken cutlet... these can't be enjoyed at plab... now will get a work 2 rest 2 day and alternate weekend... hopefully that manning stays...

then today confirm that we'll need to go back to plab on saturday... sianz... heard that need to stay 1 night and that'll be sat night... like will mess up alot of schedule... cos of the IMF thing lor... now can only prepare for the worse and hope for the best...

TAB Delta Outing...

Yesterday, our tengah airbase delta platoon had an outing for the farewell to those from Paya Lebar and also before the platoon get split... those from PLAB, like me, had already finished the last duty there and will go back to plab on fri... we'll only go back to TAB on thurs for the last time for the CO dialogue... as for the delta shift, it'll be split into the 3 shift so they'll no longer be mounting together... so it's like this is the one and only time that we could gather together, together with the old and new specs...

we went to the Sakura buffet restaurant at science centre... becos it's a weekday so there's not much ppl and only a section is open... but becos of us they got to open another section and also the aircon... like we're very big like that but we're the biggest group of the day lor... haha... the food still the almost the same as the last time but there's no fried salmon, which is what i like... sianz... now got dory fish fillet... also satay still taste good but the shark's fin is still not very nice... too sweet and dont have the correct taste...

after that, some of us went to jurong pt to watch a movie, Little Man... it's quite a funny show, with a man who's very short acting like a baby... some of us also played aracade b4 that then they like 'pull' me to play and scan the card for me cos i don't play aracde one and dun have the card... we actually intend to have dinner together first but we're still quite full from the buffet so we decide not to have it...

can say it's a fruitful day, but will feel a sense of farewell as i dunno if there's any chance in the future that we could go out together, given that we're having diff schedule liao... but see u all and the base for the last time tmr...

managed to go to church again, & back to PLAB...

yeah... yesterday morning managed to go for the whole church service again for 3 consecutive weeks... thanks to the 1/2 day leave that i took... cos it's a 3 day mount then abit sianz to stay in camp for 3 days so come out lor.. haha... next week i should be getting the both sat and sun but it's the PULSE retreat weekend so there's no youth service, only got adult... maybe going to pulau ubin to join them for the retreat but not sure yet... if go there then maybe not going to the church service cos like can only go for a while then must go down to changi liao...

then today is my last duty at tengah airbase cos we taking leave on wed and thurs... as 1 of our friend got a mini bus so after our duty we bought our things back to paya lebar liao... then the paya lebar OC say we may need to go back on fri & sat morning to go for orientation... if this timing still ok but dun end too late if not may affect othe planning... if we didnt go back today maybe wont have this...

but pray that there won't be a staying in of 1 week... now the 911 and IMF like anything can happen leh...

911

Today is the 5th anniversary of the 911 attack... so fast 5 years liao... still remember that time when it happened... i was in Sec 4 and was about to have the sch Prelim exams... that was a tue and i just went home from tution and when i watch the tv, i saw the two WTC towers with smoke coming out and it says planes had just crash into it... got a shock...

what follows was many many news about it and many days of mourning... luckily didn't affect any exams result... really must pray for all these attacks to stop as it causes unncessarly lost of life and property, and make ppl around the world anxious...

World Food Fair...

i went to the Expo again today for the Food Fair... then there actually got some other exhibitons like the John Little sales and the Expo Book Fair... so in the end i stayed there longer then my expected time, and also bought more things than i expected...

but i think no more chance to go for these fairs again this year cos i'll be on duty from Fri to Sun and all these fairs ends on Sun...

COMEX is here again!

It’s time for another mega IT show event COMEX… it was held from last thurs to sun at Expo… Last year it was at Suntec but I think cos of the IMF so it was changed to Expo… it’s further la, but I still go down as the things there are cheaper…

I only managed to go down on Sunday with Zhi Qiang, the last day becos I was in camp on thurs and fri then sat I went to the RASF open house… when I reach expo mrt it was like so crowded until the entire platform was filled with ppl… but this is expected lar, and on sun there’s at least 2 or 3 churches having service there…

It was quite crowded along the walkway but once inside the hall, it’s not so squeezy along most parts although there’s still some major bottleneck junctions where ppl come from all 4 direction squeezing pass one another…

after walking through the halls, I bought a 40GB external photo bank hard disk, which means that I can transfer the digital cam photos into the hard disk without a PC… this is useful especially in overseas where with my current photo taking rate, 1 GB of memory card won’t be enough if I want the best quality… beside that I also bought some DVD+R disc and also managed to buy another battery for my camera for standby… I also found the Inke Refill booth which they actually provide free ink refill for everyone for each cartridge… so I managed to refill two cartridge but I dunno the quality yet as I’ve not tested it…

after the show, we went to tampines as zhi qiang wants to buy a shirt… we also have dinner there… it’s been more than 1 year since I went there so its’ quite refreshing I guess… then heard that the next IT show event, SITEX 2006 is on 30 Nov to 3 Dec, which is like going to clash with alot of other events... so see how lor...

RSAF day / Open house & COMEX...

it's end of aug and the annual RSAF day and COMEX are here again... this year, being part of the air force, i should be involve with somethings on 1 Sep, most likely is direct traffic la, cos RP ma... haha...

the open house will be at paya lebar air base which i wont be involved with cos i still in tengah till 15 sep... should count myself lucky, cos just got the new schedule that my shift is off on this sat & sun again! means i got the whole weekend... still thinking whether want to go for the open house or not... many ppl i know will be there and i should be going back on 15 sep...

then also got the COMEX from tmr till sunday... another IT show and i definately wish to go... althought still havent decide what to buy yet, but i think will burn a big hole in the pocket once i start buying... this year is at Expo, so it's like 1hr + journey to go there compare to suntec which is at a centralise location... there is from 1 end to the other for those at the west side like me... hehe...

another sunday, & 2nd last b4 ZQ enter NS...

it's another sunday and as it's the last sun of the month, my church have combined service with the adult instead of youth... as the adult service only starts at 1030am instead of 9am, we'll usually have our cell grp first at 9am... after not having go for a full combined service for a few months, i think the situation still the same...

usually when come to combine service, many ppl would tend to overslept or lazy to wake up earlier to come for the cell grp at 9, even though most ppl can make it for service... this phenomenum is like going on for the past 3 years, (which i'm also gulity of it b4, during those time when i was bz with study and choir)... i think must do something abt it...

then my cellgroup most ppl are in NS now so our attendace is not so regular.. with zhi qiang going in next fri, i think attendace will get worse... must pray that most of us will be able to have our sun free and that we can continue to meet up and pray for one another...

having buffet dinner...

i took 1 day off from one of my off in lieu today... from the 2 dismount day where they tell get to go back to helpout last time... so it's a sat & sun off this week... but yest kena a 24 hr gate, so the duty is more xiong and cannot go back to sleep in bunk... usually if take leave the next day then your previous day duty will be more xiong...

this evening went out for dinner with my family... actually we planned to go to sakura at clementi for the buffet dinner but when we reach there, the waiter says that it's fully booked and we have to wait for a while, even though there's qutie a number of empty seats... we decided not to wait cos since it's buffet i think ppl will be there for quite long, usually wont come out so soon...

so we took a cab to harbourfront... there got dragon gate restaurant where there's eat all you can buffet... this one is you order they serve to your table instead of you go out to take... but both u can eat as much as u can... we got eat like 3 fishes, crabs, etc.... eat until the stomach is like totally full... dunno what's my weight now.. haha... next time then weigh ba, dun want to get a shock... haha... tmr morning can go church directly from home and go for the whole service... yeah...

booking in at a later time today...

today as there's some ppl from the NDP contingent helping out during the day, our shift can book in later in the evening at 5.30pm instead of the usual 7.30am... so got an extra 10hrs to do my things at home...

actually feel quite weird that i've to go back to camp later in the evening, haven't tried it b4... last time during trainee time is not so early, usually at 9pm... except sometimes during bmt but that's so long liao... almost a year... that means passing the midway point soon... haha... must endure another year lor...

More helpouts in duty...

for the past 2 days, we had those NDP and ASLC ppl helping out in the duties... currently those ndp guard of honour are still rehearsing for the RSAF day but not as many days as the ndp, so they could helpout more... also the aslc has just passed out and waiting to get their sgt rank to be specs... now they just helpout in some of the duties...

as such we did much lesser duties compared to other days... on the 1st day i only stand like abt 2 hrs and 2nd day i stand 3 hrs then after that rest for 11+hrs before doing 2.5 hrs... then this morning do 4 hrs... so do less than 12 hrs for 2 days... usually when low manpower we can do 12 hrs in just 1 day... so is consider slack liao...

another weekend duty this week, tmr and sun... not so xiong during wkend cos so gates are not open, but couldn't enjoy the weekend... next wk then i think can enjoy both sat and sun cos i taking sat off... then can go for my church service fully on sun...

it's sunday...

another dismount day... but quite sianz for the last mount, cos now got the heighten security due to the london bomb scare... now may have to do more checks... another than that still go well cos got the reservist help out so the duty not so xiong...

now still dunno when we going back paya lebar... and on fri heard that maybe paya lebar going to change the shift system to like tengah type, which means no more work 2 rest 2 and alternate weekend... sianz man.. if this is true i think will rather stay in tengah... cos nearner to my house le...

think i still suffering from the post FOP and overnight prayer event... this year like quite bad compare to last year where we still have a youth concert over this weekend... which means last year now still bz with the concert things and not rest... maybe becos of duty, so didn't get regular hrs of sleep on duty days... must get strength from god and hold the fop and overnite prayer spirit... then can really be bless and feel the power......

JCC Overnight Prayer 2006

just came back from the church overnight prayer... we've just prayed through the whole of last night without sleeping... wow praise the god he sustain us through...
the overnight prayer starts at around 8pm yest... its the first time the eng and chi sect are having it together to mark the end of the 40 days prayer and fast since July 1... we had some worship devotion first b4 we started to pray... it's quite fruitful as we pray for the world, singpore, church, cell, etc...

at around 11pm i started to feel sleeply and almost fell asleep afew times... but after 12am and getting the strength of god then all good to go again... i was asked to help to be vocalist for the 2 worship at 1 and 6am... got practice abit last sun... but i think got some prob with the mics so cannot hear the voice properly... sianz at first... but still worship god anyway...
through the night we pray and did prayer walk... sometimes when other ppl praying i think i fall asleep for a while... think so.. haha.. but its around 4am... most of the time still awake la.. and we pray in groups for the kindengarden and community...

we ended the overnight prayer with a final worship at 6am and a breakfast at taman jurong food centre... now should recharge energy first b4 enjoying national day... but dun have tickets to NDP, so later see how lor...

Festival of Praise 2006 (Sun)

Today i managed to get some ppl from crusade going, but no church ppl going... sianz... this year really quite low profile as crusade also only got around 10... still rem last year sun got almost 40 ppl in the group... (can refer to last year's posting) hehe...

we plan to meet at kallang mrt at 4.45pm but as me and zq go straight from church so will reach there late... they decided to go first to book place... but now as the PA office there cannot pass through liao so have to walk the long way and i think they got lost or wat... in the end we take bus there and reach ahead of them.. sweat rite.. haha... then today even better.. there's no queue at all when we reach... the door has open liao of cos.. so managed to enter the stadium in 1 min... hahaha... some more still got front seats... at first sianz cos i tot really no hillsong ppl not coming liao... but after a while still ok.. most ppl come at 6+ and total got abt 3/4 full... although compare to last year full house is still less and weird cos fop usually is nearly full house...
for the 2 days the speaker El Silvoso spoke about things related to The Market Place which i think is quite relavant... the market place doesnt have to be doing business... it can be your school too... the speaker also spoke quite powerful...

this year also the whole thing ended quite early... yest end at 9.30pm and today at 10pm... last year for the last night ends after 11pm and have to take taxi home... can say that this year's event is better organised and more orderly than last year's where ppl keep cutting queue.. haha we do it also.. feel so guilty... managed to take public transport home this year and reach home by midnight...

heard next year delirious is coming back.. yeah... but dunno got hillsong or not... lets look forward to it... 3-5 Aug 2007... think that time i starting sch in NTU.. haha...

Festival of Praise 2006 (Sat)

This year's FOP features Don Moen and Christian City church (Syd) band... But this year not many ppl from my church went... asked quite alot of ppl but only a few interested...

Today i only managed to to get 1 of my church ppl and his friend to go... so we just 3 ppl go. cos some can only go tmr... compared to last year's of almost a group of 30 ppl (church n crusade) cos a few crusade ppl go and book queue then we join in n cut the queue later... but this year's the door open earlier and there's more usher around so cannot cut queue... we reach there around 5.30pm, and tot we should be at the very far end of queue... but the queue wasn't long and we managed to get in the stadium in 20 mins.. quiet fast huh? hehe.. and we still managed to get a good seat... even those come after 7pm still got seats... last year like those come after 5.30 cannot enter cos full house liao...

the show itself is still alright, with CCC band coming in first then Don Moen... this year the worship is not as 'jumpy' as last few years where hillsong is around... all stay in their seats compared to all rush down to the bottom when hillsong was around...

Finally the N6610 is working properly

This afternoon went to collect back the Nokia 6610... Thank god it's repair liao and it's working properly, and no data was lost... Now no need to keep changing phones... and btw, my sony ericsson camera phone the battery i just charge full on tues morning then off it... then today when i want to use the battery is totally flat... dunno how does the battery discharge itself so much when it's not use... heard that most of the older sony ericsson models all like that...

Phones got problems...

Yesterday in camp, my phone's keypad suddenly went dead... All the buttons when press got no response and if there's a call u can only see the phone ringing but no way to answer it... sweat... then my other phone think the SIM card reader got problem and even when there's SIM card in it, it still says 'Insert SIM card'... so my phone line was down for 1 day...

today just send the 6610 to repair... may cost about $40-80... the other one heard may cost $100+ so not repairing that yet... at that cost like buy a new one without plan better... cos my plan can only upgrade in Dec... now i only have a sony ericsson camera phone and a very old N3315... might have to use the 3315 in camp since cannot use camera phone...

1 year to NTU!

Today is 30 July 2006, and its exactly 1 year to 30 July 2007... the day the NTU freshmen orientation is starting... my 1st day orientation may not be that day la, but that it's that week from monday... haha

can't wait for it, and hope the NS can finish faster... :P

Gen12ii Thanksgiving 2006

yesterday was the gen12ii thanksgiving... it's the 1st time that it's held on monday cos for the past 3 yrs was on sat... then also 1st time at covenant pres church, usually at foochow methodist church... there's quite a number of 'incidents' which made the event more memorable... haha...
firstly, when we are going there, the North-east line has already broken down... it's down since 12.57pm but dunno abt it cos nv update the news... so we go bugis to change bus as we think it might be very messy at dhoby ghaut...

then at the church during the worship, suddenly the PA system power blackout... so the projector and sound system all turn off and the place turn quiet... but we continue to sing and worship the god without using the mics... still can hear.. thank god... it took more than 15 mins to get it working again... also met one of my tengah airbase sergeant from another shift there... quite suprise...

after the thanksgiving, we decided to go for supper as some of us were hungry... we went to the zuijiao food centre at little india... as it's late most of the shop already close... there's 1 prata shop still open but when we want to buy, all the special flavours one are all sold out, only left the plain one... so no choice but to eat that... but it's so hard and diff to tear it with fork and spoon... sianz... confirm it's left over stock...

when we're going home after dinner, we thought the train is working already but some train moving on the 'wrong' side of the platform... then in the train after reaching dhoby ghaut it went back to little india... which means still not working properly... so we take a bus as we do not want to spend more time waiting in case got more prob... waste 70 cents... bus is ok cos i using bus concession... also thank god for the bus as i do not have to wait for all my 3 buses home... all come immediately when i reach the bus stop... 1 is even more thankful cos the 2nd bus was actually infront but after a while the 1st bus overtake it and thus allows us to transfer to the 2nd bus at the next stop... thank god... then at night not much ppl so move quite fast... take only 1 hr to reach home... less than what i expect but still is 0015h... what a day...

GPMG Range duty

last thurs was suppose to be our dismount day, but becos the ASLC course ppl are having the gpmg range, we had to go back to guard the place...

it's very sian, cos we have to go back on the off day and also the place is quite deserted... worse thing is that only combat ration is provided as they're not bringing the fresh ration... there also got alot of mosquito... we stay at the place from 7.30am to 1am the next day! actually is suppose to be until 2359h but cos the vehicle broke down so was delayed...

we only reach back camp at about 2am... the next day we still got duty but luckily those who went the day before get those more relax one...

this morning heard that tmr's 1 day mount is cancelled becos got GOH help out... so now we got 3 days off after working for 3 days... but i don't think it is the off in lieu for last thurs cos those who did not went on thurs also get the off... hopefully will have another day off...
also today the Singapore flag is flown at half-mast for our late minister Mr Lim Kim San... never really heard abt this person b4 cos we were still not born yet... Same as Rajaratnam, they were the founding fathers of singapore and 1st generation ministers... this is the 2nd time this year an ex-minister and founding father has passed away...

Sat & Sun off...

Finally, our delta shift at Tengah have a sat and sun off... which means i can finally go to my church's full youth service tmr without taking leave...

haven't been attending the youth service for like more than 2 mths cos of the weird schedule at tengah and also there wasn't any youth service for 4 straight weeks before last week... so actually kinda miss it... so tmr hope to have a good time worshipping god...

and FOP coming soon... 3 more weeks but dunno the schedule yet... heard might have 3 days mount from fri to sun which are the 3 days of the FOP... sianz... then have to take leave if want to go... best is get the sat & sun off again... haha then can go for 2 days... but may suffer 'post FOP' syndrom on mon cos of the lack of sleep and prolong squeezing with ppl...

After the penalty shoot out, Italy are the champion of FIFA World Cup 2006...
But it's raining cats and dogs in Singapore at the same time... Think they're not kind of related, but it seldom rain at this hour in S'pore... haha...
